Daniela Comani, born in Bologna, has lived and worked in Berlin since 1989. From 1984 to 1988, she studied fine arts in Bologna, and from 1989 to 1993 in Berlin.

Comani has participated in numerous exhibitions, including, most recently the 54th Venice Biennale; "Again and again and once more?—Latitudes," Kunstverein Medienturm (Graz, Austria); "366 Days, 52 Bookcovers and 1 Happy Couple," Charlie James Gallery (Los Angeles); and "Washed Out," Konsthall C (Stockholm, Sweden).

Public art projects include "C'était moi," Centre d'Art Passerelle (Brest, France) and "U2-Alexanderplatz," NGBK (Berlin).
