London calling JULY 2010 Ann Carrington, famous for her sequined portraits of the queen and her frilly and fringed denim works (which landed her in the Levi Strauss collection) is to exhibit in a solo show at KHFA in 2011. Photo by Gary Bishop Burckhardt named Texas State Artist 2010 MAY 2009 Marc Burckhardt KHFA's Marc Burckhardt has been named Texas State Artist for 2010. No stranger to publicity, he has done work for the History Channel, TIME magazine, and Texas Monthly, just to name a few. His work has been collected by the late Johnny Cash, Ralph Lauren, and Oprah Winfrey. Burckhardt has put his mark on the national and international art scene exhibiting in several shows a year since 2004. This hardworking artist is in great company. Two x Two for Aids and Art MAY 2009 Michael Ledoux donated his piece Fruit of a Traceable Cause to the tenth annual Two x Two for Aids and Art, which jointly benefits amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research and the Dallas Museum of Art. Danville Chadbourne to show at Blue Star APRIL 2009 Danville Chadbourne's new show Retrospective 1: Artists' Collection 1980 to 2009, will be at the Blue Star Contemporary Art Center in San Antonio from April 2 to June 14, 2009. Art Auction, presented by Sotheby's and Papercity Magazine, benefiting the Dallas Contemporary.
